Services and Servers Overview

Termination

Call termination, from the customer perspective, is the process of placing a call. Junction Networks provides VOIP Termination Service to its customers.

Origination

Call origination, from the customer perspective, is the process of receiving a call. Junction Networks provides VOIP Origination Service to its customers.

Registration

Before a customer can receive a call originating from Junction Networks, they must register contact information (where the call should be sent).

Separation of Services

Termination and Origination services are separated. The use of one service does not require the use of the other. A customer may place VOIP phone calls without having a phone number, a customer may provide caller-id information on a per call basis, there is no requirement that a customer register to place a call, and there is no requirement that a customer be able to place calls in order to receive calls.
