Prerequisites

Phone network configuration completed.
The following instructions assume your phone has successfully booted and completed network configuration including obtaining valid IP addresses for itself, an IP gateway and DNS servers either via DCHP, manual or other means (refer to your Yealink Administrator's Guide) and that your phone is running with factory defaults.

Phone is running firmware release 7.60.0.120 or better.
You can find the firmware version your phone is currently running by pressing the Menu button, select Status then press Enter. The firmware version should be the third item listed from the top. If you are running a version prior to 7.60.0.120, please upgrade your phone's software before proceeding (refer to your Yealink Administrator's Guide).
Phone Configuration
Step 1: Gather information for each user.
Each user has a set of credentials which will be needed to configure each phone. For each phone that you are configuring, obtain the following:
- SIP Address (Address of Record)
- SIP Password
- Auth Username
- Username
- Proxy/Domain
You can find this information in the user detail pages under the Users tab in the Phone Configuration section.
Step 2: Log into your Yealink phone through a web browser.
When your phone is powered on and connected to your LAN, use a browser to navigate to the IP address of your phone. You locate your phone's IP address by pressing the Menu button, then scroll to phone status, press Enter the IP&MAC addresses should be at the top. The factory default administrative username for the phone is 'admin' and the factory default password is 'admin'. Go to the Account tab.
Step 3. Enter your user information from Step 1.
Account
- Account Active > Select On
- Label > The soft key label for this line
- Display Name > Whatever you would like others to see when you call them.
- Register Name > Auth Username
- User Name > Username
- Password > SIP Password
- SIP Server> Domain
- Enable Outbound Proxy Server> Select Enable
- Outbound Proxy Server> sip.onsip.com
Scroll down to the bottom of the page and click on the Confirm section.
Step 4. Verify the Codecs
Once the page has refreshed, scroll down the page and click on Codecs.
Verify that the following are listed in the Enable codecs section:
- PCMU
- PCMA
- G729
- G722
Step 5. Confirm that your phone is registered.
Under the Account tab expand the Basic section and verify that Register Status displays Registered across from it
Troubleshooting
If you are experiencing trouble, double-check your settings as described above and be sure to verify that your password was entered correctly without any leading or trailing spaces.
