Instant Messaging, Presence and XMPP
Presence and Instant Messaging - Generic XMPP Instructions
Junction Networks supports XMPP presence and Instant Messaging. In general, if your Instant Messaging client supports XMPP, it will work with Junction Networks.
To enable Instant Messaging and presence on your Instant Messaging (XMPP) client, you use your SIP address and your portal (my.onsip.com) password. This is NOT your VoIP password.
To send the Portal password to your users as an admin, login to the admin portal of OnSIP and choose the user. Then, under the Maintenance section, choose Reset and e-mail portal password. This will send the SIP address and portal password to that user. Repeat for each user.
