Expected behavior?
I have Counterpath's Bria installed on my machine and most of my users use X-Lite. I was initially thinking that it would just dial through that immediately. Is it doing what it's supposed to do?
RE: Expected behavior?
Yes that is the correct behavior.
The plugin is built to be completely independent of the phone that you use. The call setup is done by placing a call to your registered phone(s) and then transferring you to the destination number that you originally dialed once you answer.
This lets us integrate our call-setup service with any compliant SIP phone on the market and is in fact a standard way to implement third party call control in SIP.

RE: Hi,When trying to make a
We have heard this problem from a few customers so far. Our suggested solution currently is to uninstall the TAPI driver and restart Windows. When Windows starts up again reinstall the driver and be sure to follow the steps for placing a call in the list on this page. Specifically please be sure to select "Dialing Properties..." and choosing the OnSIP TAPI device from the list of devices.
Re: SIP address and password
To read more about what SIP is and SIP addresses you can refer to this very brief overview of SIP or this more complete overview of SIP.
To find your SIP address in OnSIP you can find it in the admin portal - users page. If you do not have access to the admin portal please consult the administrator who set up your OnSIP account. Your password is the same web password that you would use to log in to the Admin Portal or my.OnSIP. Again, if you do not know your password consult your administrator and he or she can have it emailed to you.
